1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines for using the Redate.io platform ("Service"), operated by Capritora SRL. This AUP supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Acceptable Use

The Service is intended for the detection and correction of email dates corrupted during IMAP migration. Acceptable use includes: - Connecting your own mailbox(es) or mailboxes for which you have lawful authorization. - Running diagnostic scans to identify affected emails. - Initiating the fix process for affected emails. - Using the free trial fix to validate the service before committing to a paid fix. - Accessing the Service through the provided web interface, using a standard web browser.

3. Prohibited Use

The following activities are strictly prohibited: - Accessing or attempting to access mailboxes without proper authorization from the mailbox owner or lawful authority. - Using the Service to read, copy, store, or exfiltrate email content for any purpose other than date correction. - Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract the source code of the Service. - Using automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access or interact with the Service, except through officially provided APIs. - Abusing the free diagnostic scan by creating multiple accounts, using disposable email addresses, or otherwise circumventing usage limits. - Attempting to circumvent payment requirements, manipulate pricing, or exploit billing vulnerabilities. - Overloading the Service with an unreasonable volume of requests designed to degrade performance (denial-of-service). - Attempting to gain unauthorized access to Redate's systems, infrastructure, or other users' accounts. - Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation. - Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service. - Transmitting any malware, viruses, or harmful code through the Service.

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

Redate applies rate limits and fair use policies to ensure the Service remains available and performant for all users: - API requests and scan operations are subject to rate limiting. Excessive requests may be temporarily throttled or blocked. - The free diagnostic scan is limited to a reasonable number of scans per account. Redate reserves the right to restrict scan frequency for accounts that show patterns of abuse. - Each paid fix order is valid for the specific mailbox and email count purchased. Fix orders cannot be transferred between mailboxes or accounts. Redate reserves the right to adjust rate limits and fair use thresholds as necessary to maintain service quality.

5. Account Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for: - Using a strong, unique password for your Redate account. - Not sharing your account credentials with others. - Logging out of your account when using shared or public devices. - Promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized access to your account at hello@redate.io. - Ensuring that any email provider credentials (IMAP passwords) or API access tokens provided to Redate are valid and that you are authorized to use them. Redate encrypts all stored credentials using AES-256-GCM and never stores passwords in plain text.

6. Monitoring and Compliance

Redate reserves the right to monitor usage of the Service to ensure compliance with this AUP. Monitoring may include: - Reviewing usage patterns and request volumes for signs of abuse or automated access. - Investigating reports of violations submitted by users or third parties. - Analyzing logs to detect unauthorized access attempts or security threats. Monitoring is conducted in a manner that respects your privacy and complies with GDPR. Redate does not monitor the content of your emails.

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, at Redate's sole discretion: - A written warning notifying you of the violation and requesting corrective action. - Temporary suspension of your account or access to specific features. - Permanent termination of your account without refund. - Reporting the violation to appropriate law enforcement or regulatory authorities. - Pursuing legal action to recover damages or obtain injunctive relief. Redate will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, its users, or third parties.
