All emails showing the migration date instead of the original? Redate.io restores correct dates automatically.
Works with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and any IMAP server
After migrating to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or another provider, your email client shows the migration date on every message. Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird - they all display the wrong received date. Sorting by date becomes useless.
Most people want to fix dates for organization. But incorrect timestamps create real problems that go far beyond a messy inbox.
Courts and tribunals rely on email timestamps to establish timelines. An email showing the migration date instead of the actual date cannot serve as proof of when a message was sent or received. In a contract dispute, employment case, or intellectual property claim, this can undermine your entire position.
Tax authorities may request emails as supporting documents during an audit. If your invoices, receipts, and exchanges all show the same migration date, you cannot demonstrate the correct timeline. A screenshot of an email with the wrong date has no probative value.
Regulations like SOX, HIPAA, FINRA, and GDPR require accurate records with intact metadata. The GDPR explicitly mandates that personal data be kept accurate and up to date. Incorrect email dates can mean failing a compliance audit.
Insurance claims often depend on proving that a notification, declaration, or communication happened within a specific deadline. If all your emails show the migration date, you cannot prove timely communication, and the claim may be denied.
No technical skills required. Redate handles everything automatically.

Every fix includes:
IMAP migration tools (BitTitan, CloudM, imapsync, GSMMO) add a 'Received' header with the migration timestamp. Email clients like Outlook use this header to display dates, causing every email to show the migration date instead of the original send date.
Yes. Redate.io fixes email dates even months or years after the migration. The original date is preserved in the email's 'Date' header and can be restored by removing the migration headers and re-inserting the email with the correct INTERNALDATE.
Zero data loss is guaranteed. Redate verifies every fixed email against the original before completing the process. Original emails are kept in a visible folder for 30 days, allowing full rollback at any time.
Redate processes 500-1,000 emails per minute. A mailbox with 10,000 emails typically takes 10-20 minutes. The initial free scan takes just a few minutes depending on mailbox size.
Outlook displays the date from the most recent 'Received' header, not the original 'Date' header. When a migration tool adds its own 'Received' header, Outlook uses that date. Redate removes these migration headers to restore the correct date.
The IMAP protocol requires a 'Received' header on insertion. Migration tools like BitTitan MigrationWiz, CloudM, and imapsync add this header with the migration timestamp. Email clients then display this timestamp instead of the original date.
Redate.io charges 0.004 EUR per corrected email, with a minimum of 29 EUR per mailbox. The scan is completely free and requires no credit card. Payment is only requested after reviewing the results and approving the fix.
For Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, admin access is recommended to fix multiple mailboxes efficiently. For individual mailboxes, direct IMAP access with regular email credentials works fine.
Original emails are moved to a visible folder called 'Redate.io - Originals' in your mailbox. They are never deleted. You have 30 days to verify the results and can restore originals at any time.
Some emails may lack the original 'Date' header. These are automatically skipped and reported. You only pay for emails that are actually fixed. If no emails can be fixed, Redate offers a full refund.

You need your IMAP server address (e.g. imap.yourdomain.com), port number (usually 993), your email address, and your password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you may need to create an app-specific password in your provider's security settings.
Your credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and used only during the scan and fix process. They are never stored in plain text and can be deleted from your account at any time.
